My name is Leigh Kapantais and I am the artist and owner behind Leekappart. I am a New England based artist and started Leekappart in 2020. I create art to make people smile, and bring some whimsy into the world!

I earn my BFA in Illustration from Maine College of Art & Design 24’ and since then have illustrated 4 children’s books in partnership with Maine Authors Publishing with their amazing authors. When in between books I am working on my own children’s book - the title is a work in progress! Stay tuned, it’s about chickens!

I find inspiration in the day to day life and anything that sparks me joy. Outside of my art I have a love for animals (Cal the guinea pig, product tester and Buddy the cat, product manager), climbing shiny plastic rocks, playing video games, and finding the next best spot for a sweet treat.
